Really shaky, what does this mean?
Well I know I get that way if I have had too much sugar~ and it doesn't take alot to be too much. It is like my body absorbs it really fast or dumps too much insulin to take care of it and than I get low suger. Like hypoglycemic if I remember correctly. Maybe the Mini wheats have too much sugar?!? I don't know never ate them so I am not totally sure~ just my un-educated guess!! LOL

When I have this happen, there are two things that are the most likely culprits. The first is that I may not have been drinking enough water, so I'm getting a little dehydrated. The second is that I haven't eaten enough to keep up with my body's needs for increased activity. They had me increase my caloric intake and protein intake to see if that would help, and it has, and I'm still losing at a pretty good rate. Might want to call the surgery center and talk to one of the nurses on the bariatric nurse line. They are pretty good at getting back relatively quickly, and it's better to be safe than sorry.
Have you looked into oatmeal, or cream of wheat, or malt o meal? I know some of them may be a little higher in carbs, but they work for me, expecially with a scoop of unjury to get more protein. Also, have you tried yogurt for breakfast (also with a little unjury unflavored). One tip for adding unjury to yogurt, mix it, then let it sit a few minutes to dissolve, stir and eat.
I agree with you. It is an everyday challenge, but take heart, it does get easier every week. I imagine that after a year, it will be a cakewalk (those of you a year or more out, please just let me have that illusion). But see, with all the diligence to our body's and food, we should just about be pro's at the new lifestyle changes by the time we are more "normal," again. I still struggle too. Some days, just thinking about food makes my stomach turn. Some days, my stomach literally does turn no matter what I try to eat. Some days, I have to force the water down. Many days, exercise is the bane of my existance. Every week, though, is a little easier than the last.
Hi
Had my surgery the day after you. I have been in the dizzy/faint feeling also. For me I was losing. I would have a very hobbly-wobbly day and then the next day, down some weight. See if there is a connection. Also, NEVER down play dehydration. Boy have I learned that one.
Good luck
