I'm planning to get a porcelain veneer on one of my teeth, but still have a little time to change my mind, if I so choose.  But I really want to do something with this tooth that has cursed me since I was a wee lass.  I don't want to get braces.  Anyway, any of you have experience with the porcelain veneers?  Have any advice or info you think I should know before doing this?  Anybody have experience with the Lumineers?  Any info there that I should know about?  I have found tons of info on the internet, but after a while, it doesn't make any sense, cause everybody is tryng to convince you to buy their product.  Anybody know about how much 1 lumineer costs?  I already have the cost for a veneer, and I do realize that different businesses have different fees, but... Thanks all!

My two front teeth are veneers and I love them!!!  One of my front teeth used to cross over the other front tooth so everytime I smiled you would see it.  So at the age of 50 I had veneers put on.  They have held up beautifully -- never chipped, cracked or any sensitivity.  Plan on doing it again when they need replacement.  They usually last 10 - 15 years.   Good luck!!!

Thank you, Barb!  That's the kind of feedback I was looking for.

I just got Invisalign in February. LOVE IT!! They're clear plastic trays that fit over the teeth. My dental insurance paid 50% and the gap I have will be fixed in about 6 months. I can easily remove the trays to brush my teeth and eat, etc. They just have to be in at least 20 hours each day. No biggee, practically painless. Worth every cent and it really a reasonable investment. Not sure how much veneers cost, so sorry can't compare for ya there. And I don't know that all insurance plans will cover Invisalign. Best of luck to you! Sharon
