I just listened to my messages from work when I got up.  My supervisor is asking me to go to another plant Tues, Wed and Thursday of next week.  My liquid diet starts on Tuesday.  Do I tell her I don't want to go because she knows I have been looking forward for a chance to do this.  I feel like I will have to do alot of explaining to my counterparts there once I get there of what is going on.  I know at night there will be alot of going out.  Plus I have my pre op physical on Wed.  I would for sure need to see if I can change this before even considering going.  Any ideas???

Yikes Anita...... I don't know what to tell ya.  I would see if there was anyone else that could go.  I wouldn't re-schedule another appt because your surgry isn't that far away.  I would see if there is anyone else that could do it.  They know you are doing this so it's not like a shock to them ya know....... Let me know how it goes and good luck to ya...... Hugs Marsha

I don't know what to tell you...if your supervisor knows you are having surgery, tell him/her about your pre-op appt.  Can you come back for the appt?  Can you do the appt on Monday instead?  You can still do the LD, and no one needs to know what's going on.  And you don't have to go out and if you do, just follow your guidelines for the LD, you can have soup broth and decaf tea.  You can work around that. Good luck and let us know how this works out for you.

I agree with Marsha.  Talk to your supervisor.  Perhaps there is someone else who can go.  You need to keep your appointments. Good luck, Colleen

The LD is not too hard to handle at another job, but you may want to explain things to your supervisor so your not missing any important appts. Good luck!

Good morning Anita..........my first thought was to not go and talk to your supervisor about the LD and the appointment.  Being away and on the LD wouldn't be too bad but you don't want to have to change that appointment.

Let us know what you decide to do. Hugs, connie d

Wow - that's kind of a dilemma!  I say be up front and honest with your supervisor and if you're unable to reschedule your doc appt before surgery than you have to tell her you can't go.  You just don't want to have to reschedule surgery.  I bet if you talk to her about the specifics she'll understand. Good luck and let us know how it works out.
