OT: Life is moving too fast!!! LONG.

Hey all! Just thought I would check in and let you know that I haven't found the edge of the earth and dropped off.  Work is crazy, personal life is crazy!  I just don't have the time I used to to get on here and keep up with everyone.  I feel so bad - I feel so left out.  I do try to lurk when I can, but I just can't respond or even read every post.  I finally have a few minutes this Sunday AM to get caught up, but I'm so behind how do you read through pages and pages of posts.... Anyway, things with lia sophia are great - I've got quite a few shows booked and am enjoying doing shows.  Things with Shannon are going well too.  He practically lives with me.  We had his kids here last weekend and they were really great and receptive to me.  In fact AJ, the youngest told Shannon that he really liked staying here. The 3 of them will go out of town next weekend - so I'll be in the house by myself, which will be weird - but I'm looking forward to some alone time. My weight loss continues even through my snacking, I'm 10 pounds away from ONEderland - I really can't wait til the weather warms up so I can get out and walk those pounds away.  I haven't been under 200 since my freshman year of college (1989) so it is look better every day.  I've started reacting differently when I dump - it seems to be getting more severe with less sugar - thank GOD!  I really think my body is desperate to help me with my snacking issue.   One thing I've noticed is that I have been sick much more this year than ever before.  I really think I need to concentrate on my supplements because I just can't stand being sick every other week or so.  It's either a cold or the flu or sinuses...or whatever.  I've been on antibiotics twice this year - which is very rare for me.  Hopefuly with some sun, more exercise and vitamins this will all change. Well this is getting too long...so I will sign off for now - just wanted to let you know what's been going on and why I've been gone. Take care and know that you are all in my thoughts even if I can't tell you every time you post. Love, Tracy

Wow!  It sounds like things are going really well for you!  I am wondering if you are getting sick more now than before because your body is loosing a line of defense...fat.  I got really sick about 6 weeks ago and that was the reasoning behind why people thought I go to so sick, plus less calories equal less fuel to fight off the germs.  It was good to see a post from you and keep up the great work and you will be in Onderland before you know it!

YAY Tracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo proud of you, you are getting SOOO close to ONEderland!  YOU CAN DO THIS!  I so understand life taking over and how hard it is to catch up on the boards.  At least you have a man to keep you busy.  I just have work.  LOL   I have been sicker this year as well....but, everyone around me at work has been sicker this work.  I think it's just what is happening all over, of course getting all your vitamins in is essential as well. Take care of you and I can't wait to see you again sometime soon!

Hi Tracy, I know what you mean about "no time". With me it is school and work and more school and more work. I have gone on the board to read the posts from time to time but never seem to get beyond that. I feel so horrible because I have already missed 5 Saturday coffee get-togethers and this coming Saturday will be the 6th. My mother-in-law passed away in February and this weekend the family is getting together to go thru her belongings and clean out her house. It seems like every time there is coffee group scheduled I am out of town for something. I really miss the gang.
On a brighter note....Congrats on getting so close to Onederland. It really makes one feel like they are entering into a make-believe world, at first. Then you get used to that and its on to the next wow moment. But Onederland is one of the biggies to be sure. Keep on truckin and you'll be at goal before you know it.

10 measly pounds from ONDERLAND??!!!  That's AWESOME!!!  You will be there in no time, and I fully expect an EXPLOSIVE post here when you make that milestone! I have to tell you, as Bailey and I were having another "session" late last night, your name came up several times.  The messages you've sent her, especially with the CD, have made an impression.  She even let me read the card - I don't impose unless she offers, I respect her right to and need for privacy.  But she chose to share that with me last night.  She said she wishes you lived closer so we could meet up with you for dinner or "coffee" sometime.  She hears things more clearly when they come from you - when I say the exact same thing, well, moms don't know ANYTHING, ya know?  So if you're ever up for a threesome of the girl/bonding type, let me know?  We could definitely haul ourselves to Burnsville for some Tracy time!!!       Love you tons and bunches...

I asked my docs too as i got ill far more often that first year post surgery than before.  But as it was pointed out to me, our immune system is still the same, but my stress in my life was not - I had a new job and  new home and a million other stressors that I was able to ignore before with food.  Who would have thought?? Just keep an eye on those other factors, and learn to say no to taking on more than you can handle. Take care! Jen
