OT- update on my mom

Things are up in the air. My mom will have a bone scan on Monday. That will determine if what they saw on the Pet/Ct was accurate. They think she has mets to the breast bone. In working in oncology for almost five years now, I know how accurate those Pet/Ct's are. So, I am certain she has mets to the breast bone. Pancoast is a pretty aggressive tumor. The oncologist is saying she has 4-6 months left. I'm not sure about that. She sleeps all day. I guess she is only awake, at most, four hours a day. My feeling is that she has less time then that, or she is REALLY depressed. We'll see. But, I am going to try to make it out there sometime soon. I have a call out to my boss to determine when I can do this. Thanks for all your prayers and support. I really appreciate it. I'll update more later when I know for sure what is what.  Hugs, Lori

(((((Lori))))) I know what you mean about those scans being pretty darn accurate. TBH, I don't trust the timelines given. I believe that God has the upper hand in all of it, so I don't trust the docs when they give timelines. Maybe just because my own Dad was taken way sooner than they said... Go with your gut instinct on it though Lori. Work will be there when you get back. If you feel you should go now, go. You're a great employee but you've only got 1 family! Prayers to you and your family, and your mom's team of doctors.
