One step forward, two steps back.
I'm glad you're trying a new med, unfortunately it can take some time for it to take full effect. There are LOTS of drugs out there, and lots of combinations - hopefully your doctor will work with you to find the right one. If this doctor is already flustered after only trying a couple of drugs, you need to find a new doctor - or at least a Psychiatrist.
When you find the right drug, you'll know, almost immediately. I've been dealing with this since I was 15 and it took a while to find the right drug. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hugs,
Farrah

I too suffer from depression. My whole life. It took years of trial and error to come up with the right combo. But it took the right Dr to get it. I finally stopped seeing my regular dr about this issue and began to see a psych. and she was *very* aggressive in finding a solution for me. After all, that was all she did, everyday. I thank God for her. I also have a thing about seeing women Drs instead of men. I feel they relate to women better.
Also, I've heard that Chantix is very hard on one's mental state. Even if one has no current issues with any, it can cause them to happen. Please be wary of this.
Please continue to post so we can support you. Take care... Maureen
