It is really happening!

I just spoke to the admitting people at the U of MN for my surgery on Tuesday. It will be at 12:30, I was hoping for right away but at least I won't have to get up at the crack of dawn. I can't believe it. It is really happening.This is my last day at work, sitting at this desk in this body. When I come back there will be a little more room on my chair! I have to admit I am getting a little nervous which I know is normal. I am not nervous about how my life will be after as much as I am at going under anesthesia. I have done it before so I know it will be fine but I tend to over think things. It is so great to have you all here because I know you all ahve done it and it is a piece of sugar free popsicle (cake just didn't seem appropriate ) Thanks for listening to my rambling!

Wow, your day is just around the corner.  I was a little nervous about the anesthisa as well since my family has a history of bad reactions to it and my surgery was the longest I had ever been under but everything was fine aside from my bloodpressure not wanting to come back up.  I have faith that your surgery will go well and before you know it you will be here on the Loser's Bench with the many other beautiful people here on this site.  If you find your mind ruminating about the surgery find something fun to distract yourself like a walk outside in this beautiful weather.  I will keep you in my prayers that all goes well and that you have a speedy recovery!

Kris...I am so excited for you. I remember, just 7 months ago, how excited I was. This is the best thing I ever did for myself! We will all be waiting for you on that losers bench!! I wish you the best of everything!! Prayers are on the way too!

12:30 is a good surgery time!  Your surgeon will be warmed up, but not tuckered out!  (worked pretty well for me, anyway!!!) Have a good last look around - check your butt in your chair, the space you have in the ladies room, all that, 'cuz SOON, VERY SOON, it'll all be MUCH ROOMIER!  Just this morning I decided it was time to move the arms on my desk chair in some more - and there's STILL room to spare!  I remember when my blubber butt & thighs were pressed against them, puckering out past them.  It's a wonderful thing, Kris - GET READY FOR THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE!!!

As Tony the tiger would say, you're going to do GGGRRRREEEEAAAAATTTTTT!
