Cathy thanks for coming huntin' me down LOL  Word got sent to me and it really means a LOT to me that you care so much!  YOU GUYS ROCK!

So, here's my update:

Dr. B did the peer-to-peer review and my insurance told him that if they re-weigh me and my BMI is over 40 he can resubmit/appeal and they'll approve it.

SO today was my weigh-in.....I'm 5'1 1/2 and weight was 219.6

I MADE IT! YEAH! LOL

SO, now I want for Dr. B's office to resbumit and then for insurance to give the ok!!!

Will keep you posted...and I'm fine...just needed a break!

heya Peach!  Glad to hear things are moving in the right direction finally but seriously how sad that you (I'm assuming) had to put on a little more weight to be approved! either way congrats on getting to the next step... again!  Hugs doll L.

actually, I didn't find out about the re-weigh-in until yesterday so I did not gain weight just to get approved.....unfortunately, I just gained it as I always have.....

you have been missed!!  Dr B and Danette are an awesome team!  If they can't get you approved...welll,  we don't need to go there, because it will happen for you. Dr Buchwald is the best DS surgeon around, you are in GREAT hands, but you know that already!

I'm just glad I could find you. Now, don't do that again!. According to Super Nanny, you have to sit in the naughty chair for as many minutes as your age. I am not asking your age, but YOU KNOW how long you need to sit there!

I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for an APPROVAL to your appeal!  Good for you for pursuing the DS. That was my first choice for surgery but my insurance doesn't approve with a BMI under 55 so I opted for my second choice of the RNY. Good luck Peaches!!! Michelle :)

It's so weird how things turned out.....I was all set for RNY and the cards just weren't dealt in my favor - or so I thought...who knew???

It takes me back to that story (here's the much shortened version) of where you may be delayed at home but it keeps you from getting in that accident on the freeway - ya get what I'm sayin'?

At any rate, I'm THRILLED and IF they deny me again, I'm all set to appeal and pursue legal action if necessary - and I KNOW I have a leg to stand on :)
