What weight to use as starting weight???
I've had a couple of different people tell me I should use my highest weight, which was about 2 years ago. My surgery was last November. I use the weight before surgery. Which weight do you use?
My highest weight was 265
Surgery weight was 225
Current weight 151
Total loss???? From 265 or 225????
Thanks,
Debi
I use my highest weight (that I know of - I'm sure I was probably 20 lbs more than that at one low point in my life!)
Why do I use that weight? Because it's the truth! And it shows just how far I've come! (And just how far I still have to go - but now I KNOW I'll get there!!!)
I think I'm gonna wear Susie's 18's tomorrow at work!!! Muffin top be damned!!!

Yay Darla!! 18's!!!!!! I'm so thrilled for you...and they do make loose tops to cover the muffin tops! You should wear them and you need to let me know how they made you feel all day!!
I'm thinking I may add a blurb to my ticker that says 265 highest weight. I worked really hard to loose those 40lbs and I would like a little credit for them. I don't know that I feel comfortable telling people my total weight loss with the 40 added to it though, since I lost the 40 over a 2-year period that did not include the WLS.
Have a great day in your sexy 18's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suffered an Oldtimers attack this morning, forgot I was gonna wear the 18's. dang... Maybe to coffee in NB tomorrow???
And as for the 40 lbs in question - THEY ARE A PART OF YOUR TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS! I mean, they're GONE, right??? GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT, DEBBIE BABY!!! You LOST 'em, you get to CLAIM 'em!!!
And get a new photo up, okay? You sexy redhead...
