Meeting in person?

Hey all! I am waiting to be approved for LapBand  surgery right now. Insurance has until April 9 to reply. Meanwhile, I am wondering if any of you wonderful folks  ever meet up  to chat. I remember half a year back that some people did get together.  If you still do, let me know! I'd  love to come hear how people are doing before/after surgery. Thanks!

Good Luck on your approval!! There are Coffee's at different spots around the area. I am not sure where Long Lake is, but the two know a little about are the Maple Grove and Eagan/Burnsville.  Maple Grove meets every other Saturday at the Byerleys around  9am. This Saturday the 5th is the next one.  Eagan/Burnsville meets every Saturday at alternating locations. A ton of people attend that one, so I am sure others will offer more info. Meridee

Good Morning!  Hope you get to hear soon that you are approved!   There are quite a few different coffee get togethers all over the place.   Keep an eye on the board and you'll find one every weekend.

Besides the weekend coffees, many surgical programs have weekly or monthly support groups that are open to anyone, not just those who are going through their program. Park Nicollet meets every Wednesday in St. Louis Park with the first Wednesday of the month dedicated to Lap Band patients (both pre- and post-op).

There is a group of us who have the band who meet every Sunday evening at 6:30 at Starbucks on Hwy 10 near Northtown Mall. Looks like that might be a bit of a drive for you, but if you ever feel like a drive, please feel free to join us. I think there is a group from PNC that meets every now and then on Wednesday evenings more on the southwestern side of the Cities. Hope you find one that works for you - support helps so much! Well I just work "down the road" from you at Baker Park!  If you're home during the day, we could maybe meet for lunch/coffee at Blackwater on 12 by the Maple Plain post office???
