Plastic Surgery
I saw Dr. Fasching for a consult on a lower body lift and breast lift/augmentation. They did submit to insurance for the tummy tuck part but it was denied because it wasn't medically needed. I could have appealed but there was also a restriction that the surgery had to be done within two years of the WLS and the appeal would have taken me past that deadline. Check with your insurance to see what they will cover. You might have to have months of documented skin rashes, open sores, etc. Most insurance carriers do not take into consideration back pain or emotional issues surrounding excess skin. Good luck!

Dr. Jennifer Harrington in Edina did a panni and tt for me last month. I had insurance coverage for the panni and paid out of pocket for additional costs for the tt. I am thrilled with my results. I have lost 180 pounds and had a lot of rashes and lower back pain. She submitted to my insurance. She has experience with WLS patients and I cannot say enough good things about her!
