Therapeutic Support Group

Abbott Northwestern Hospital offers a Therapeutic Support Group for post weight loss surgery patients.  This group is professionally facilitated by Dr. John O'Neil Ph.D.  He is a licensed psychologist in Clinical and Health Psychology. Weight loss surgery is a journey.  Sometimes along the way patients need to access resources and services to help regain focus on the reason for surgery or to process issues that may be having a negative impact on their efforts to lose weight and create a new lifestyle.   The therapeutic support group provides professionally facilitated, fee-for-service support for weight loss surgery patients. When:  4th Monday of each month               6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Where:  Abbott Northwestern Hospital                Piper Building, 6th Floor Classroom Cost:  $15.00 cash per session Registration is required.  Call the ANW Bariatric Center at 612-863-7501 for more information or to register.  Group size is limited to 10 participants.
