OT: I saw a flake!

When I read the caption to your post my first thought was "What, were you at work with me today?", cuz there sure were a lot of flakes there today!!! lol  I was overjoyed when I saw the snow this morning!  I love me some snow.  I haven't done it in a few years, but I used to LOVE getting on my little red saucer and sliding down a hill.  Maybe next year I'll do it again.  Enjoy the short stint.  I hear it's gonna melt real soon.

Amy...I love the snow...but at this point I am getting tired of the slush and mud. I know MN winters have been more brutal then this and I remember some really bad storms...but...I am ready for warm weather.  Plus...I haven't been warm for months!! Hey all!  I'm finally catching up here...my favorite childhood winter memories include making snow tunnels and forts with several sibs and neighbors.  In the mid 60s, my older brother would pull the long toboggan (with we four younger kids) behind a tractor in one of the corn fields.  Was so fun, as the toboggan would fly up and down atop the snow drifts above leftover  low cornstalks.  Was not so fun getting into the 'ruts', because my little sister was three or four and cried, then we had to go back home!  And, in 1967 we were the first ones in the county to get a (er, two) snowmobiles.  Had a blast riding up HUGE snowbanks and HUGE plowed snow piles. Was a riot when a neighbor and I would make new trails  in then-uncleared paths on property several miles from home!  Not so fun the first time we got lost, and 'discovered' neighbors several miles from our place!  Looked different from the back fields than on the roads! Man, thank you, this is so fun remembering the purely innocent days! Hugs galore, Patti
