My 10 Month Update (LONG)
Well it's been a while so I thought I'd update with a few wow's both the positive and the thought provoking ones.
I am still at a 160 pound loss up or down 4 pounds. This month has been a slow month in the pounds department however, I was wearing 18 jeans and 22 tops last month and this month I'm in 16 jeans and 18/20 tops. Today my best friend told me to pull my 16's up because they were sagging...soooo looks like I have no ass left to hold them up!
I am now able to double cross my legs...very interesting indeed...just had to try it!
Today I was in Walmart and I went looking at bikes. I am so excited about riding again because it has been 16 years!!!!! 16 years ago I could bike 35 to 70 miles in a day. Not every day of course So I got on a bike today and I felt like a 5 year old that was learning how to ride. My 14 yo son was cracking up as I teetered back and forth. The only bad part was the seat!!!!! It killed my coochie in an awful way. So, it looks like I will need one of those big cushie seats.
Last night I had to attend a meeting for the Junior High baseball team parents. Upon entering the classroom and seeing that we had to sit in those desks that are all one piece, my heart started racing and I almost left the meeting in fear that I wouldn't fit! It was horrifying to feel that humiliation and shame that I was so used to for so many years. Well, I hung around looking at the classroom and visiting for a while before I attempted to slide into a desk while no eyes were on me. TO MY SURPRISE I fit just fine with about 7 inches between the desk and my stomach. I was so amazed. I am amazed all the time about being in a somewhat 'normal' size of body.
Last week one of my closest lifelong friends came to visit me. Due to really busy lives we haven't seen each other since November. She came to my job to visit and go to lunch. She paged me to the front desk and I walked up and stood there and she looked right past me! Then she looked back and yelled. She didn't even recognize me! She thought I looked great and was so excited.
Then we went to lunch and the owner of my favorite restaurant told me I was skinny enough and I looked pekid (sp?) I almost teared up. Do I look unhealthy?
I'm starting to get concerned about droopy boobs and saggy skin and smile wrinkles that were never there when my face was stretched to capacity... I knew this would be part of the process. But all in all I am very happy I had the DS. I would do it all over again minus the bleeder after surgery..ugh!
I now eat a normal amount at any meal. I can take about anything other than pasta and rice. I keep to high protein and low to moderate carb intake. I do splurge on a treat when i want one. I just don't go crazy on them. My lactose intolerance is gone at the 10 month mark..wohoo bring on the ice cream I have so much energy it's crazy! I never get winded. I can touch my palms to the floor without bending my knees. Does anyone else marvel in there new found flexibility?? lol
Thanks for sharing my wows with me. This forum is awesome and you all make it worth it. I don't even know how I would have made it this far without all the info, stories, friendship and experience that I have gotten from all of you!
Hugs!

Thanks Darla,
I'm a lurker mostly on the MN board because I only recently found it. I'm on the DS forum all the time. However, I've recently met quite a few MN sisters so I thought I would post my wows here as well.
Nice meeting you! Beautiful horses..love them!

Ness,
Welcome first of all.
While reading your post I kept saying to myself "WOW." What an amazing feeling that must of been when you were standing right by your friend and she didn't recognise you.
You have done a wonderful job on the WL journey. I love these kind of posts. They just make you feel good,
Congrat's, and I'm glad you posted. Don't be a lurker anymore, it's always nice to hear from everyone.
You should come to one of the coffee get togethers. Their alot of fun.
