Hi Debi !!! I see that you are going to try the 5 day pouch test too!  I did this once before and now feel I have to do it again.  I get kind of far off track once in awhile and need to get back to basics.  Good luck with your week.  It will be a good one for us, I am sure! Talk to you soon.

I'm in!  I read this as I was eating some popcorn as I worked 14 hours and got home a half hour ago.  I know great supper and come to find out a slider food to boot.  Sheesh!   Okay....so, since I didn't have to do a liquid diet or protein drinks before or after surgery.  What is a good tasting one for the 5 day pouch test?

Hi Pamela!  Wow, I, too, was fortunate not to have to do a liquid diet pre-op, then had no problems thereafter.  Anyhoo, I just love the Slim Fast LOW CARB shakes in the individual cans.  I also like the Atkins canned shakes as well, and actually keep them on hand so to have one per day. My FVSD program never required the counting calories, carbs, etc, but to just get in minimum 60 protein g's daily and that all would work out.  Well, it sure has! Looks like we're in for a mass five-day pouch test, huh?  Best of the best to you!  Hugs galore, Patti

Hi Hon!!  I hichly recommend a vanilla flavor as you can mix it with anything (see recipes at http://www.5daypouchtest.com).  THey have some great smoothie protein drinks!!  I am soo pumped!!!  I just bought at Target: Body Fortress~ Whey Protein......1 scoop is: 110 calories 2g sugars 26g Protein!!!!   I had issues with protein powders and this one is the one I can tolerate, but they are WAY better when ya mix stuff into it......this one I can even drink with no mixing......it's all a guessing game tho as people's taste's are different. SEE YA MONDAY (to report)!!!!

Pam, the website has recommended food recipes on it, but they are just guidelines.  I like SF CIB with unjury mixed in it and I like Isopure Alpine Punch flavor.  Plus of course the standards, SF jell-o, SF popsicles, soups, etc... Good luck... We'll all have to celebrate lasting the 5 days next Saturday when we get together!!! YAY US!  Thanks Sandie for posting this and for the inspiration, Love, Debi
