.......the toughest part of the WLS journey for YOU? The emotional rollercoaster.

.......one thing you never expected of WLS journey? To have to struggle like I have when I see others be so successful.

.......the most unforgetable part for you thus far? I've met some great peeps and friends that I feel like I can always depend on.

The toughest part of the WL journey? 3 weeks of LD and now figuring out what to eat that's protein & healthy and that I can tolerate without getting sick. One thing you never expected of this WL journey? All the caring & support on here. The most unforgetable part for you thus far? My "WOW" moments, & seeing my collorbone. Thanks Sandie. Kelly

The toughest part: the head hunger...I still find myself grazing, even though I'm not hungry-I'm bored, or lonely, or who knows....Seeing myself as others see me...I see the old me still, the fat the chins the stomach the hips. Even though I can see bones and feel bones, I still see fat. Unexpected: How quickly my diabetes would be resolved and the sleep apnea and how much energy I have and people calling me "tiny" and saying I'm going to blow away...The friendships I've made on this board, the close bonds that have happened so quickly and the way everyone just accepts others and encourages others. Unforgettable: I've ran into a few people I haven't seen in a year or two and I've had a couple of them not know who I am. Realizing that I am a worthwhile person and that I am capable of being a good friend and that people actually want to be around me and like me for who I am. I could just go on and on about each question...as I'm sure others could too. The changes are just so dramatic that someone that hasn't gone through this would never understand.

Hi sweetie....here goes...... .......the toughest part of the WLS journey for YOU? Is the not drinking during the meals and waiting 1 hour after to drink...wooooooo!!

.......one thing you never expected of WLS journey? That I could have so much energy and feel so good.

Toughest: Realizing that even though I have lost the weight, it is going to take a lifetime to keep it off. The surgery is not magic, and it is work! And now the scale says I am skinny, but the skin says, remember me, I am your fat self Never Expected: I was FAT! I carry the pics with me to remember where I came from. My butt hurts when I sit, and I never expected I would be able to feel my bones, or have my dad say he is proud. At one point before this journey, he even offered to pay me money to loose weight. Most unforgetable: Death. Dying, and seeing my cousin again, even though it was so brief. If it hadn't been for this surgery, I would have gone through life wondering what was on the other side. Now I know for sure, and death is not scary, but I also know that I am not going to have to experience it again any time soon, because I am healthy again, and I will be able to enjoy my baby and her babies before I go back .
