body hurting after losing weight
We lose a mess of weight, and we find ourselves a lot more ACTIVE than we used to be - so yes, we're using muscles and joints and tendons and such that have been more or less DORMANT for a long time! They're gonna ache.
Yes, there's a lot less padding on our poopers, so those church pews and non-cushioned chairs (and frankly, the Log Chute ride at the Mall of America!) are kinda hurtful these days! But Johnny Cougar (aka Mellencamp) was on to something when he sang - "Hurts so Good!" Bring on the butt pain, baby! It proves my arse ain't all it used to be!!!
For me, the knee pain has been a rather significant issue. I had knee pain before WLS, and yeah - once I unloaded 3+ big honkin' bags of doggie food off my frame, I figured the pain would magically disappear! But Dorothy at PNC explained it to me this way - for my knee, anyway. The extra FAT I used to carry around, even in the knee joint, helped CUSHION the joint! Even tho the weight was crushing, the fat was cushioning. So now, not only have I lost that extra cush in the joint, but I'm USING it so much more than I used to! It sucks, but not as much as hauling Sandie and her purse around piggie-back 24/7 sucked! (Nothing personal, Ms. Sandie )
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful

OMG!!! I've had three different chairs at work the past month. My butt is even sore on the coach at home -- and in my beloved car too. I loved the comfy driver's seat in my car and now I can't get comfortable. And I always have bruises too. My hips hurt sleeping at night.....GESH!!! But it does "hurt so good" like Darla said. I'll take the trade off --- beats the hurting chest cause I couldn't breathe, or hurting feet from the weight, etc. It's just my butt's sitting places getting back at me for all the crap I put them through!!!
