Hey guys I have a question.... Do any of you have problems with your body hurting after weight loss?  It started a few days ago when we moved our bed around and I was actually on his side of the bed.  We ended up flippen the mattress over and it helps some what.  I went in to the chiropracter a couple times and It helped. Anyways I used to have so much padding that it didn't ever bother me before and now holy crap!!!!! Is this normal?  Will I be sensitive like this for the rest of my life?  It feels like i got kicked super hard in my tooshy area.... I have been putting ice packs there throughout the day and it helps for awhile.  Thanks for listening..... Hugs Marsha

Marsha, I've been told it's called bony butt syndrome  - I have it too.  My rear hurts from sitting too long, from certain positions, I sit on pillows whenever I can. I also have pain in my knees from crossing them, but I also found out I could twist my legs like a pretzel (I know, why would I do that??? Well, because I CAN!) and so I find that if I don't cross my legs my knees feel better.  Guess this old body just isn't used to what it can do now. Hopefully it will get better.  I hope some people that are further out post answers to this....I'd love to know too. See you Saturday, Debi

Marsha, I'm the same as Debi, when I cross my legs the knee hurts, and if I sit too long the butt hurts. I too hope someone farther out posts. We'll probably have to live with it....... I haven't met you yet, but wanted to let you know your doing a great job, every picture you add looks so different and great. Kelly

I asked this very same question a few months back at support group.  The answer I got is that now your body is able to move in ways it never could so you're using muscles and parts of your body that you weren't able to use just a few months ago so your body is just adjusting to the new movements.  For example, many of us were never able or too afraid to get down on the floor and play with kids because we feared that we might never get up or we'd be embarassed if someone had to help us up off the floor.  Now we're getting down there and playing (I'm assuming, this is especially true with you and your daycare) and we're moving around with those kids.  Our bodies just aren't used to the new stuff we're making it do. I've noticed that the pain has improved significantly over those past few months - so hopefully it's not something permanent for you either! Take care and see ya this weekend!

I promise it will get better!  Your bones (especially the butt) have to get a little tough love to toughen up. Before there was the padding but now there is just skin between your bones and the outside world.

Your body will adjust. I used to carry a cushion with me and once I took the bed pillow to a play because I knew I would be in too much pain to stay the whole time. Now I have no problem unless it is a hard surface for a long time like bleachers and to tell the truth ~ That is NORMAL! I no longer walk around with my own cushion back there and "skinny" people don't. Hang in there, it does get better.

I wish you more luck than I have had with this topic.  I'm 5 years out and still have a sore tailbone and lower back.  I've been to the chiropractor, regular Dr., massage therapist.  No cure for me - the only thing I've continued is the massage therapist - because that is just yummy!  My next option is acupuncture or a rehab Dr I think since narcotics are probably not an option long term!

Yep, it happened to me.  I take off more than 70 lbs and I'm supposed to be feeling better, not worse.  The back pain I have is debilitating.  I've gone to the chiro and it worked for a while.  Then it came back again and worse than ever.  Last week I went in and the chiro did another sort of adjustment which adjusted the pelvic bone which I guess was pressing up against something in my back.  Feeling better now.  But it is very, very frustrating. Heat, ice, heat, ice.  That is about the best its gonna get.

Good luck!  Post if something works for you.

I am so glad you asked, but not happy with the responsed about the sore butt that makes me want to cry!! I am glad it is not just me, and I will take a sore butt over high blood pressure, GERD, IBS, Depression, pre diabetes, and severe joint pain all over, but dang.... Hope you feel better soon. I am gonna go order a hemorrhoid pillow for work now. (j/k but it is a thought)

Hey Marsha, I haven't had it that bad yet, but my knees got bonier (if that's a word) and now I sleep with a pillow between my legs if I'm on my side. And  I do get more sore when I do it over exercising. Oh and my shoulder gets sore if I lay on my side to long.....Good Luck.
