How totally rude!!!  I'm pretty outgoing so I can come up with lots of stuff to say and do, but if you feel uncomfortable with the zings, just give them the brush off motion or shoulder shrug with the ever so popular woman's "THE LOOK" and see if they get the hint.  Or just turn and give them a V-8 dope slap!!!

Okay, on behalf of tall people everywhere, allow me the following: A) using a vertically challenged person as an armrest as just plain DISRESPECTFUL!  I have put my arm AROUND many, for reasons of affection, but never balance.  Next time someone actually leans on you, I encourage you to question their state of sobriety. B) being tall has it's good points, and it's bad points as well. Good:  you can reach things in the grocery store for the vertically challenged.  I always feel honored to do so.  Good:  you don't have to worry QUITE as much about post-WLS hair loss, 'cuz there aren't a plethora of people who can see your scalp, anyway! Good:  step stools aren't often necessary. Bad?  People assume you play(ed) basketball and call you "Stretch". Bad:  You have to be sure to keep your nostrils clean.  Bad:  People of lesser height sometimes talk to the chest.  (This was more of an issue in my younger days.  You know, when I still HAD a chest to talk too.   ) Bad:  Even tho I'm now "thin" enough to fit on all the rides at MOA or Disney or WHEREVER THE HELL I PLEASE -       I will ALWAYS have issues with my legs fitting in.  Oh, I fold 'em and make 'em fit as best I can, but it's often times quite uncomfortable!   So to Cathy and all vertically challenged individuals out there, I APOLOGIZE for every tall person who has ever shown you less respect than you deserve.  I'm happy to say we don't all carry that gene!!!

As the shortest one in the family my siblings just love to remind me over and over how short I was.  Then if I got my feelings hurt it was oh we were just joking you shouldn't  take is so serious.  It is not like I can do anything about how tall I am nor would I want to. I am as tall as I am going to get and that's fine with me. Ok off my soap box. Janie

Love yourself first then loving others will come easy.
