I know it may sound weird but this pureed stage rocks!!!  I can actually TASTE flavors now.  I pulverized some rotisseri chicken from Cub and wow!  I have so many things I wanna eat now.  I bought some turkey chili today, the rotisseri chicken, campbells chunky soup *take the beef out* and puree the potatos and veggies and have that with pureed chicken.  I'm also gonna make that italian dish on eggface's website...the one with ricotta cheese, tomato sauce and mozzerella.  Mmmmm...I feel like i have options now.
Still discovering new SF puddings too....
I'm mostly getting all my protein in now which surprises me...I drink about 5, 8oz glasses of milk a day.  So, that's about 45g of protein right there.  Now that I can add the chicken and refried beans and cheeses *some anyway* I know this is going to get easier and easier.  I feel so good about this!  Everyone is right....it DOES get better

That baked ricotta is the best, I still have some in my freezer and take it to work.  Yesterday I made that light swiss chicken recipe for Easter dinner.  The chicken was so tender.  I just chew chew chew, tolerating chicken/turkey well.  Havent really tried any other meats, prob. wont for a week or so.  I never had to have puree'd food, just soft foods.  Usually puree'd food is simply puree'd because of the national dysphasia diet, where people have problems chewing and swallowing.  I have neither, I can chew my food up just as well as a food  processor can and it tastes better too.  LOL  So, I just take very small bites and chew my food at least 30 times or more.  Funny how you get used to counting.

The LD stage was the worst...you'll get sick of this stage too.  I truly didn't feel normal or human again until I could eat the soft foods....It 's amazing how being able to chew real food can make a huge difference in your mood and attitude....so it does only get better from here...hang in a while longer and before you know it, you'll be eating crunchy things again too...
