Another Easter weekend ER visit

I spent all day and night Saturday in the ER.  I was soooo nauseated that I couldnt even stomach water.  It was horrible.  They did an upper GI and found an obstruction in my intestines.  They were able to move it with medication.  So after 4 IV starts and lotsa fluids I was back home.  Now I have compazine and percocet so I am much better.  Although I think I am going to try tylenol today. So I am on full liquids now.  They say you can have cream of wheat....does anyone know if instant boxed mashed potatoes are ok?  They are the same consistency if not thinner.

1st goal-  Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight!

So sorry to hear about your ER visit. Hope all is better now. I'm not sure either on the instant potatoes, call your Doctors office and ask, that's your best bet. Kelly

Bummer!  Sorry to hear of your trip to the ER.  Take care of yourself.  I don't have any advice on the mashed potatoes.  I just hope you start feeling better soon!

Well, that's no fun, that's for sure! Glad to hear you are feeling better. I don't know about the potatoes either - guess I've never heard of anyone having them until they get to pureed or mushies, but ask your doc. Hope all is well from here on out. Jean B.

WOW!  Sorry you had troubles!  Here's hoping it's all smooth sailing from here on out!  As far as the potatoes I thought that they were  considered soft foods.  And I thought you could have cream of wheat only if they were liquidy on the full liquids and normal consistancey on the soft phase............I could be wrong so call your doc Healing Hugs!
