Monday Coffee Talk
Well good Monday morning my friends! It's time to rise and shine! Gotta get it going. Another week is here and another day. It's going to be an awesome day too! It's time to spray those pits and eat them grits. HEHEHEHEEHE I just had to Dana!
Our challenge today is to remember our troops. No, it's not July 4th. It's not Memorial Day. It's not any special day marked on the calendar of sorts, but EVERY DAY is special in remembering the troops fighting for our country. I heard a staggering report this morninng that 4000 troops have died in the 5 year war in Iraq. 4000! That's 4000 families that are and will be changed forever. Sure death hits everyone, everyday, but for these men to die fighting for you and I. WOW! The least we can do is remember them. Sometime during the day today, if you know of anyone or if you have a family member fighting for us, say a prayer for them. Make a phone call to their family. Send a card. DO SOMETHING to show your grattitude for what they are doing for YOU!!!!
You Minnesota folks better brace up for that snow storm that is headed your way. I was able to talk to Lucy's sweet parents yesterday. I already love them! I can't wait to meet them and I may have to do so soon!!! I just hope all the snow is melted. This Bama Boy can't drive in THAT much snow! HEHEHEHE Will you all promise to have coffee ready? Or at least have coffee with me when I head north?!?
So, who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? I am enjoying some awesome Door County Coffee from our very own Dayner Dee! I found a bag this weekend stuck back and it sure is good too! How bout you? What are you enjoying?
Ya'll have an awesome TROOP remembering Monday!
For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"
Randall,
Thank you so much for posting this. My daughter is an Iragi War Veteran and has been home with us since 2005. Although the war has had an impact on all of us, we need to remember that those kids that are coming home, have experienced somethings that we will never know....We just do not know the impact on their lives that this war has had until after they have come home. We really needto remember them and thank them for their sacrifices....War changes things.....
My heartfelt THANK YOU to all the Vets and soldiers out there for their sacrifices and their Love of Country and mankind!
