That sucks!!!  I don't understand why they just don't take it when they do the WLS.  A lot of people post op have it removed.  I hope you feel better soon!!

What a bummer! I can relate, I had mine out about 18 years ago and I remember after the second attack I was afraid to eat anything other than cottage cheese and corn flakes! I hope they just yank the sucker out. You will feel great after!

So sorry Lisa - those attacks SUCK! I have never had anything worse!  They usually can take it out laproscopically - so they will add another 4 little cuts to the ones you already have :)

Good luck.

Awww Lisa- Did Your ultrasound show stones?

Mine did not but Dr. Svenson said he could remove mine with the WLS because it has given me fits for awhile now!  He said just because there are no stones- it can also just not be fuctioning optimally and in general be a pain in the arse- or side in our case - LOL

Best Wishes Darlin!

My dr. put me on Ursodiol 2 x's a day.  He said he gives it to WL patients as many have gall bladder attacks after WLS.  I am to be on them at least 6 months, then I dont know what else. Did you have to take Ursodiol at all?

Lisa...love your new avatar.....it took me awhile to realize it was you!!

Sorry you ended up with gall bladder problems on Easter. Yes, I remember those pains very well. I think they were almost worse then labor pains!! Had mine removed about ten years ago.  Hope you are feeling better now. hugs, connie d
