Spouse, family and Supporter event

Let's start thinking about getting together with everyone and making it a family/friend type of event.  I think it would be fun to meet everyones supports and for them to get to know your other family.  I am thinking sometime in May.  Weather permitting we could to a park or something.  I can look into it more if enough people are interested.  It would be nice to get the familys and friends that have stood by us involved with our group as well.  Post or PM me is you have ideas, comments or questions

The OH event is in June so hopefully our supporters would come with us to that, but aside from that event, a family / friend event sounds great. I think a pig roast is always fun, but if people don't want to chip in money towards it, then a good 'ol fashion MN potluck would be perfect, too. There is a park in New Brighton (a Ramsey County park) that is awesome. Lots of walking/biking trails, play area, picnic area, etc. Just a suggestion. Or maybe Darla can hook us up with Three Rivers!

Sounds like fun.  Would be there as long as I am feeling up to it.  I am not sure when my surgery is going to be! I get to schedule it on Monday!  There is alot in May though.  Fishing opening weekend, then the next weekend is mother's day and also memorial day weekend.  But I am game for whenever, if it works it works.

As a possible thought  - could we combine it with swapkins at my house in april?

Hi A get-together sounds great. If you plan it for May, I'm coming back to Minnesota for a visit from May 1st - May 11th, and would love to attend. I'll keep watching the posts. Peggy

The swapkins Day will not work though as I have my surgery the day before!

I'd love it!  And of course, if I can help with a Park District site, I'd be more than happy to do so!  (Unfortunately, I don't get any freebies, but I can help with a location!) I can't make Swapkins, and May IS pretty darn busy, but June would work good!  Is the 21st a Sunday? Maybe we could come up with something the day before - or is that too much all together?
