I have been home since yesterday at 11:30 a.m......I have had a B-L-A-S-T reading many many profiles!  What fun to see where you started and where you are now and how you got there!!!!!   I don't need my pain meds anymore, so that makes me not sleepy, which means I need to fill more time.  I have a good book I'm reading, pretty flowers to smell.....   Please tell me:  HOW  DID YOU SPEND YOUR DAYS RECOVERYING FROM SURGERY?

Lisa, If you can tolreate it this is what i did.  Started out real slow and easy and worked my way up.  Take short walks either out side or on a treadmill.  Find creative ways to door your housework"no lifting".  Go to the mall and walk sip shop.  I often got out of the house to stop my self from going insane. I am so glad you are doing well and don't need your pain meds. Idea if you are the crafty type try learning how to knit for the time when you don't feel like walking. Or crossitch keeps the mind busy. Janie

Target has been my new home.....although that's gotta stop because I've spent almost $100 there everyday I've gone there.  Bills??  What do you mean I gotta pay bills??  What's this "BILLS" thing you keep talking about?

I'm not the type of person that stays at home much...so, next week I'm driving down to Mankato to see my parents maybe stay there a night or two....visiting friends....lots of travel!!  I think I'm gonna go insane with all this free time.  Who knew WORK would become appealing?  And....to top it off I have super bad spring fever hittin' me now.  Oy!

I've thought about going to the Mall of America *during the week of course* and just walking around.  I think I'll do that next week too.  Maybe I'll even start going back to class early.....ooohhhh.  Yeah, probably not.

I was walking around Michael's trying to look for a quick hobby to start up but nothing jumped out at me.  Besides, I want money for clothes later on.  What a conundrum!

Did ya' notice that my posts have become increasingly longer  and I just ramble on and on the longer I stay home??  Wow, Trish...get a life girl.

I played on the computer a LOT. And I went for walks outside on the days that were nice. And shopping.... lots of shopping. I also went to see a few movies in the theater. I love to do that. Have fun keeping busy. Hugs, Lori

I have done the walks, and still am.  I do knit, I'll pull that out!  I am now watching Enchanted with my daughter and watched some live long die hard horrible shooting movie with my hubby...ugh!   It will be good to go to coffee tomorrow.  I cleaned pre-surgery, so even my closet is gorgeous!  :O)  Thanks for the ideas!!!!

Oh Lisajoy can I ever relate.  I was bored on day 4.  I had no pain so no meds so I didn't sleep during the day.  I watched TV which I normally don't do much of, and I walked around the house and the mall.  I cleaned already clean closets and cleaned drawers, some more than once.  I arranged my closet by size and color and made a big run to consignment with the ones I knew I would never wear again. I painted the bedroom and then started cleaning the garage..( the sacred area of the home)...with that my DH told me it was probably time for me to go back to work.  2 weeks and I was back at work and never looked back.  I have felt great since day one!   Movies might be a good thing and looking for the perfect outfit to fit into as a mini goal.  Coffee tomorrow will help...just getting out of the house helped me.  Good luck and know you are so lucky to feel this good. Well lets see, my drawers need organizing, closet needs cleaning, my car needs to be washed, the list goes on.....What time can you be here, LOL!  Seriously, do you take a lot of photos, maybe making a scrapbook would be fun. You could do a WLS scrapbook and track your journey. I am so glad no pain meds woo hoo!!

Hi Lisa Joy.....I work from home so I only took a long weekend off.  I walked a lot right from the start. I also like to do jigsaw puzzles...even do them on the computer. Crossward puzzles are something I do a lot of too.  Hugs, connie d
