So I'm heading to Wisconsin tomorrow to visit my family for easter. I have only seen my parents once since my surgery, but the rest  of my family hasn't seen me at all. The only ones that know about my surgery is my parents and my sister. So I'm excited to see them but nervous because maybe no one will notice or if they do they will start asking questions. It's funny I can tell any stranger about my surgery, but not my relatives.  Well I better get packing it takes alot with 2 boys under 2. Thanks for listening. Love all of you!

Hope your trip is safe.  Yes, it is weird to tell a complete stranger but it is hard to tell our families.  Have a good time.  Talk to ya when you get back.

Jennifer, I suffered the same jitters you're feeling right now.  Just be happy for yourself - some will say something to you, some might think your hair is different, some may not notice, some may notice but not feel comfortable making any kind of comment.   Whatever the case, YOU know how you're doing - you don't NEED their validation to make it worthwhile!  If you get it?  FABULOUS!  If you don't?  Don't let yourself feel down.  It takes a while and a MAJOR, UNDENIABLE LOSS for some people to feel confident enough to say anything!  And ya know what?  Some people NEVER feel comfortable addressing a person's weight.  There are people that STILL haven't said BOO to me about MY loss!!!  It's baffling, but it's okay.  It's their issue, not mine.  And no, I didn't always feel this way, I WANTED them to notice!  But enough people have talked to me about it that I no longer care if the others never do.  Poop on 'em. Good luck!  And be happy!

You are gonna have fun. It is wonderful when people who haven't seen you in a long time see you now, they will notice right away

I would say that the anticipation of telling family members is probably worse than actually doing it.  You look fabulous - healthy, full of energy.  And family should be proud of what you have accomplished.   Have fun!  And Happy Easter! KellyAnn

Concentrate on having fun.  If someone asks a question, just breathe, and tell them what you are comfortable with at the time.  Like when children ask about sex, they really don't need all the details, just an overview.  Enjoy your visit!! (see you in a little bit for the capris)

Have fun on your trip.  Just remember who you had your surgery for "YOU" don't worry about anything your family says or doesn't say.   If you feel uncomfortable talking about it just tell them that.   Your doing great!
