I think sharing my embarassing moments is TOTALLY WORTH IT if it inspires one more person here to try something outside their comfort zone!  Living life as a more-or-less "normal" person is pretty freakin' cool!!!!

Darla...I am telling you you missed your calling...you should be a comedy writer. You have a great way with words. I feel like I was right there with you....however not the manure part...phew!! I love horses too. My daughter Jamie, Nic's mom, had a beautiful horse. They had to sell it because of all the medical expenses from Nic's hospitalizations. She is hoping to have one again sometime soon. I miss riding....she always let me ride when I was there visiting. So much fun!!   I am glad your foot wasn't hurt any worse...hope it is better soon. Thanks for your kind words, Connie.  I do love to write, but I'm not sure I could DECIDE to write something and keep it going!  The inspiration has to come from the inside out.   Here's hoping Jamie will have a healthy son AND a beautiful horse in her life soon!

Sounds like quite the adventure! You were missed at bowling we had alot of much needed fun. You must of hit one of those gravity hot spots when you fell into the pooh. You got to watch out for those the get ya everytime. Hope you and Trav's aches and pains heal fast.

Darla, Sweetie! You are such a HOOT!  I LOVE hearing your stories--you are such a natural story-teller!  I'm just sorry that you were injured in the process of making another superb story.  Broken toes sure can hurt! I hope yours heals quickly. Your equine enthusiasm makes me want to ride a horse.  It's been DECADES since I've been near horses. (Which is too bad because I was raised on horses on the farm. Only ours were work horses--which really gave ya bow-legs!)  Who knows--maybe this summer I'll ask one of my sisters if she can round up a few for a trail ride.
