Random stuff

DONTELLE???!!  Girlfriend, your new avatar is sa-MOKIN'!!!   Bowling peeps?  I'm SO FLIPPIN' SORRY this family deal came up tonight!  I was truly looking forward to embarassing you all with my impressive bowling skills!    But truth of the matter is, I'd have probably sucked tonight anyway.  Havin' a few aches and pains today.... See, yesterday's horseback riding experience proved a bit more - uh.... "eventful"? than Wednesdays!  First off, I DID get to ride Tigre again, she's a FABULOUS HORSE that I would SO LOVE to get out with on my own, without the over-protective anal trail guide we had.  I won't go into details about her, she was the only BAD thing about the experience both days.  EVEN in light of the events I'm about to share!

As I was leading Tigre out of her box stall to get her brushed and saddled up, I was a bit careless.  She stepped on my right foot.  That sucker SMARTED for a while, then it was fine, then it started smarting again last night.  After all was said and done and I ended up taking my socks off, I'd have to say my middle toe on my right foot is broke.  Kinda big, kinda purple. THEN, after we got back and I had her brushed down, I was leading her out to the pasture gate when she stepped on my too-long jeans hem!  No pain, but I - uh...  did a face-plant in the soupy dookey of the corral.    Yup, that's right, Darla had horse crap from her BOOBS to her ANKLES!!!  (not the cleanest corral I've ever seen...).   If I wasn't laughing so frickin' hard, I'd have been crying from the embarassement!!!    LOL!!!  Needless to say, when we got home, I stripped in the garage, went in to clean up and put on some fresh clothes, then took all the manure & pee soaked stuff up to the laundromat in Albertville to let THEIR machines choke it all down!!!  LOLOLOL!!!!!   So today, I'm hurtin.  My poor knees are bruised and complaining, and I'm not so sure my bowling would be up to snuff anyway.  BUT I STILL LOVE ME SOME HORSIES!!!  I've been bitten, stepped on several times, thrown off and knocked over, and STILL I love 'em!   Then to top it all off, Trav jammed his thumb playing basketball with the neighbors, and we ended up in urgent care getting that sausage he calls his HAND x-rayed!  No fractures, but he's got a fiberglass splint on for at least a week!  Yup, yesterday was an eventful one, that's for sure!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!  Thanks for being so excited for me with my adventures this week - I have loved every moment, and if MY getting back in the saddle after having WLS can provide one speck of inspiration to any of you, then SO BE IT!!!!

WOW!!!!!!! Darla, I love ya girlie, but that is SOME day you had and yes, I am laughing a bit.  If it was me, I think I would have been laughing so hard I would need help standing up!!!!!  I hope you will be feeling better tomorrow.  It is wise to take it easy today and rest.  I can't go bowling either.  We will have to challenge each other another day!!!!!  LOLOLOLOL And THAT will be a challenge!!!!!!!! I love you Darla!!!!  Glad to see you are "back in the saddle" again!!

Ya know, Lori, the God's honest truth is that if I had to fall in crap, there's NO CRAP I'd rather fall in than horse crap!   The stink is gone from my clothes, but all that hair from grooming Tigre?  Wow - it must have weaved itself into the fleece, 'cuz I keep pulling hairs out of that sucker even after it looks hair-free!  Dang!

OMG!!!  But why am I not surprised -- you are with your teenage daughter and it is our job to make sure they never forget you did things with her -- she will have memories of this day forever!!!  You will only have the memory of the smell forever.

Barb dear, it wasn't the aches and pains that kept me away, I'm to stubborn or dumb or something to let pain stop me.  I had a family thing come up late Friday night.  My lovely SIL isn't into giving us too much notice for things.  But I hear your hubby is a bowling MACHINE!
