I'm SCARED!

So I can't believe this has happened so fast.  I started this process years ago, and I can't believe I am due for surgery on Tuesday.  Now...I am scared.  I am starting to think...what if something goes wrong.  I can't leave my little baby without a Mommy.  I am sickened that I have to place my life at risk, because I am overweight and can't get the weight off.  Being a mom sure puts things in perspective.  I just try to think that I will be able to be a better Mommy to her once I can take off some of the weight.  And hopefully I will live a longer and more healthy life.  But it still doesn't stop me from being scared. Anyone interested in being my Angel?  I am not sure exactly what they are...but I think I could use one.

1st goal-  Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight!

I totally understand where you are coming from.  I had surgery 9 mo ago....and had complications.  My two year old son got really used to seeing mom not feeling so well.  You have to keep the goal in mind, To have a better life for yourself and your daughter.  I now treasure chasing my 2 year old around the yard in the snow and wrestle with our dogs.  He thinks it is the greatest fun.  I know I would have NEVER been able to even think of it 9 mos ago.   Bring a Picture of her with you to see her in the hospital and thank her everyday for giving you the strength to get through it not only for yourself but for her as well.  You will totally thank yourself for it, It may not be initially but you will get there.  Please feel free to contact me if you just need someone to talk to.  I totally know where you are coming from.  [email protected]  I'll keep you in my prayers, Jen

Hey...LOOK we have the SAME surgery date!  It's a good. good day that Tuesday March 18th 2008!  You know, I'm guessing emotions may run the gamet in these next few days.  Like everyone else says, that's totally normal!  :O)  You are young and I'm guessin pretty healthy?  You are going to be fine.  You have a DR. you trust and know good things about I'm assuming?  I've seen your DR.'s name on this board alot!  He knows what he's doing and it's what he does well!  Try to change your thinking to after the surgery.  Think about life after that.  My suggestion is to say a prayer, give your surgery to God and let the excitment roar!  Whoo Hoo!!!!!!  Good Luck!
