Does anyone know of a surgeon in the TC area who does arms for a reasonable amount of money? Thanks!

Pamela, I was hoping.  I'm thinking I will have to go to Mexico or Brazil.  At least they are warm places. I just got a quote from Aly and Cram in Iowa.  They are some of the best in the world for post WLS people but it's 12K for JUST the arms.

I don't have an answer for you on arms - other than you get what you pay for most of the time.  I've had a lower body lift and breast lift done, and my advice is to not shop plastic surgery by price but by skill and patient safety and aftercare.  You're spending money on YOU not a car or a big screen TV.

I totally agree.  But I need so much I just have to do the best I can.  Arms usually don't turn out all that well no matter who does them so I figured that would be a good place to go cheap.  But as you see, no suggestions.  If I could afford it, I would just go to Aly and Cram but the whole body with them would be about 100K.

Yeah - it's the pits....you lose all the weight and then the skin hangs empty.  I had my work done by Dr. Michael Fasching at Westhealth in Plymouth.  I'd highly recommend him...my surgery was done outpatient and both procedures were done at the same time so the costs were less, I paid $11,500 for what I mentioned above back in 2004.  I'm sure it's higher now - but you might want to get a quote at least.  I eventually want to go back and have him do my thighs...I can live with my arms so far.  I remember Terri the RN from PNC mention that her arm recovery was pretty painful so be sure to check them out.  (Don't know who she went to)  I also think Ginger who used to be on the boards here had her arms done too if I remember right.

I've seen some of Fasching's work and I agree he's good!
