B12 question

I had my B12 checked, the Doctor said it's too high! It's at 2,000 and he said the highest it should be is 1200. So he said take the B12 every other day. My question is, what happens if it stays high? Kelly

As far as I know, there aren't any adverse effects to too much B12. Typically your body will excrete any excess that you have.

Erin, Thanks for posting, I was a little nervous about this. I have a high B12 and a low B1, go figure. I just can't win. I see your getting married soon, congrat's. Kelly

No clue.......I had the same level at my year check up and they weren't too concerned just told me that I had expensive urine and to cut back. SO, hmmm yeah, what would happen if it stays too high?

mine is ALWAYS over 2000, it's one thing I get right. You can't go wrong with too much as far as I am aware. Too little however is asking for trouble.
