Binge Eating Disorder Program

  HI Everyone,  I was referred by my psychologist to have an assessment at PNC Binge Eating Disorder Program....Has anyone gone through this program?  Thanks.  Carrie

Hi Carrie, If you are going through PNC weight loss surgery program you will have a psychological exam done with their one of their psychologists who specialize in obesity and WLS as part of the approval process.  I have know people who were at that time directed to complete a treatment program prior to surgery.  Although I have not heard anyone talk about what the program there is like.  I went through a treatment program through the University (as a research subject) and they really do offer helpful tools if binge eating is an issue... I know it wasn't exactly the answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps! Heather

I went through the assessment for the program but decided not to follow through with it.  I knew it would do me good - but I was already involved in too many things and couldn't take on any more plus the program is VERY expensive and I have crappy insurance that wouldnt cover much.  I just couldn't afford it.
