WOW Moment
I've been lurking and not posting while I've struggled with issues about not eating the right things and never exercising. The result of my walk on the wild side has been quickly gaining back 15 pounds. I was amazed at how fast the weight came back. My honeymoon period is so seriously over.
Well I've lost 8 of those pounds and exercise at least 3 days a week now. The wow moment came from a trip I took this weekend. I was scared to death to fly thinking that the pounds I've added on equaled seatbelt extender. Imagine my surprise when I got on the plane to Chicago Friday night and fit in the airplane seat and even had a little extra seat belt left over! This allowed me to not dread the return trip today. I'm encouraged to continue reinforcing the good habits I'm redeveloping and to exercise even a little more.
Hi Pat! I went to Chicago for the weekend to visit family. It wasn't exactly fun but at least it was slightly warmer down there. What I think has helped me most in starting the losing process again was a refocus on what's important. I make sure I get my protein and water in every day. I think that combined with a regular exercise program got me on the right track. You are so right the effort is worth it. I had given up and just thought I'd try one more time.

Thanks. I lost weight pretty steadily for about a year. I started at 367 so losing over 100lbs in a year was pretty exciting and amazingly satisfying. I want to lose more to reach the surgeon and my goal of 175 lbs. Now that I'm over 2 years out I've got to work at it and I think it has taken me a year to get in that mindset..

Congrats Margo! What a great relief for you! Good job geting back on track and dropping 8 of those 15 pounds AND for stopping an old cycle from reoccuring!!! You're doing all the right things girl - keep it up!
