OTC medicine, what we can safely take

Yesterday I started to have a scratchy throat & runny nose & cough, I drank alot of hot tea, once evening came I took a generic "Walgreens brand" Benadryl. It helped the runny nose but has given me a funny feeling in my tummy, sort of a pain soreness feeling. Can we take this kind of medicine????? Now it's all gone into my chest, so I'm going to the Doctor tomorrow as I'm leaving on vacation Saturday and don't want to be sick. Kelly

I have only heard about two things so far that were suggested to take. One is Tylenol of course, and the other is Liquid Dayquil. Others further out may know more, but that's my two cents.  You just can't catch a break so far this month!

Watch the sugars in your liquids....dumping on top of being sick is horrible!  I would stick with a pill form crushed up. Good luck!

This is a totally individual individual question.  Remember EVERYONE is different.  What works for one may not work for another.  I for one can tolerate anything in any size in any form.  Not everyone can.  You are on the road to write your own game plan.  I'm certainly not saying to not ask questions like this, but just keep in mind that the answers you get come out of the responders own game plan. You should be able to take plain sudafed that will dry up a runny nose.
