Darn creeping crud and food...

Yesterday I had a bit of a runny nose... was really hoping I had just gotten into too much dust. No such luck. Today starts the aches and pains and rotten feelings. And I'm hungry...  I know what is it though so am aware that my head is going back to the comfort food stage.  I'm 4.5 months out from lap RnY - I'm looking for suggestions on what can I eat that won't eat my stomach up.  Right now I'm sipping on chicken broth.  The throat is sore and scratchy too *sigh* Anyone??  MOMMY!!!!  lol

Awwwww no fun being sick, I am sorry you are not feeling well.

Maybe some sugar free popscicles would feel good on your throat, or going with warm broth or soup.

Get well wishes coming your way!

I've got a runny nose, scratchy throat, sneezing, slight fever, and mild headache, but I'm not hungry.  I've been eating, but most times I feel a little nauseous for a bit after eating.  So far I haven't 'd, though.  I haven't been able to sleep well at night lately, either.  Something's going around!!!

I've been lucky so far that way too... everything is staying put thank goodness. The crud is going around up here.  I think of 100 peeps at work, 75 are sick.  I'd been pretty lucky so far but it just ran out. Get better!!!

Ya know, I haven't been sick since surgery!  (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!)  But I would think the broth would be good.  Or for me, scrambled eggs was always my sick-day comfort food, I could see going back to that now.  Or just some warm, not-too-hot tea.  Just crawl in bed and stay warm. Dang, that sounds so good, I think I'll take my own advice pretty soon! Happy Spring-Forward, people!

Lol I wish I could.  Hubby and I run a dog rescue and we just took in 2 full families.  we are brimming with puppies and he has to go do home visits today so I"m on puppy poop detail.  It's going to suck!  But boy am I gonna sleep tonight! As soon as he gets home I think I will take that advice.  I"m sure at that point I"m going to be more than ready!

My dad's favorite remedy - shot of brandy with honey and lemon!  Not the perfect concoction for post-ops, but helps the throat and helps knock you out so you get more rest! Hope you feel better soon!

That was great grandma's fav drink  lol  She'd look at us kids as she would be pouring it and fake cough a little...  point to her throat and say "tickle"  lol

Lori, I got the crud too. I've been drinking warm/hot tea and resting a little. I had a temp so took some childrens chewable Tylenol. I also took (which I'm not sure if I should of) generic Benadryl. I'm sticking to warm tea, scrambled eggs, chicken noodle soup. and of course water. Were not only on the "loosers bech," were on the "sick bench." Uhhh Good luck and hope you get better. Kelly
