Less than 2 days!!!!

In less than 2 days from now I will be in recovery!!!  I have to be at HCMC at 6 AM Monday, of course it's Day light savings this weekend too, so it will be like getting up at 2 AM instead of 2 AM, will have to leave here by 4 AM.  I must admit that I woke up nervous today, I have been pretty good so far. Only scared of infection, last 2 surgery's I had, I got staff infection, one almost killed me.  So I woke up today with a stupid cold sore.  Always come out when I am stressed or get sunburned or something, or sick, you know...if you are prone to them from time to time.  I just hate them.......but any calming words for me girls, guys?  I thought I would have to have an oral fleet enema and clear liquids tomorrow, but I am just to stay on the reg. liquid diet..... My burst of energy lasted 3 days!  I got lots done, rearranged my office at work, came home yesterday after another 12 hour day and hubby cleaning cupboards, today the kitchen is a total mess.  I have no idea how all those dishes got dirty and all the stuff on the counter.  I have no energy left today.....I slept tooo late.  So I think I will hop in the shower, that should wake me up.  Serves me right for not staying up when I was awake at 6 huh?  Going back to sleep until 10.  Pray for my nerves/stress/and that no infection develops please!!  God Bless!

You're going to do great!!!  Keep yourself busy with getting that house clean and organizing everything because Lord knows you won't want to do it for some time after surgery.  As for the infection possibility, I'll keep you in my prayers.  You're going to come out of there healthier than you came in and it's going to get even better than that.  I wish the very best for your surgery and good luck on your journey!!!!

Awww thanks!  I just reread my posts. I have to get up at 2 am instead of 2 am.....I meant like 3 am.  LOL  Shower didnt help much.  I want to go out today to herbergers and get myself a perfect pillow, I got one for my hubby at Christmas, I think I deserve a new pillow......its been hard not shopping.  I am a clothes girl.  I have really restrained myself because why would I need new clothes now?  I have lots of shopping to do in my closets here when I start too loose woooohooo, I have lots of clothes with the tags still on!  They will finally fit soon!!!  Just want the next few days to be over.  If it were next Friday that would be nice, for you too, then your surgery would be done too!  Hope it goes fast.

Sweetie - we've all been there and we're all here for ya. You'll be fine, you're in very capable hands, and they know how to treat anything that might come up. You can't control what happens or how your body reacts. The best thing I found to calm myself down was to think about the awesome nappy-poo under anesthesia - I focused all my thoughts on that and tried not to think about anything else other than the end results after all the surgery and recovery were all done how great it was going to be. It doesn't help to stress yourself out.

Shannon, My fingers, eyes and toes are crossed for a perfect surgery and recovery for you.  May God watch over you throughout your entire surgery, recovery and journey.  This is the best gift you will EVER give yourself! Just remind yourself that it won't always be easy - but it will always be worth it! Can't wait to hear that you're out of surgery and we can call you a loser.  Is your hubby going to post for you so we all know that you're doing well after surgery? God Bless!
