May Get-Away?? Anyone interested??
Ohhh I was thinking something like the Larsmont thing would be great too. My husband will ask his friend about lodging too. I was doing a search too and haven't found much yet that's open....we should probably check and see what weekend is opening fishing here in MN...because there probably won't be anything open in that area that weekend as far as lodging. Ohhh I love that little town. If we plan it and set a date I will make sure nobody plans anything for that weekend so I am sure to be able to come with this time. Hubby might get jealous as he loves that area too but oh well. There's a couple of state parks not too far from Grand Marais too if anyone wants to do an afternoon of hiking type of thing. Ohhh now I really can't wait for spring.
Ohhhh I found one that looks pretty nice. www.devilstrackresort.com. I can call and see if they have anything open for that weekend. Should we look for say 6 to 8 or so people?
Ok...I called she said they have openings the weekend of May 17th definitely. She said she could give us a break on one of the Lake Homes so it would be the same as one of their cottages....$269 a night. Cabin #225 sounded wonderful......owned by the people that own floor to ceiling store. It has 2 bedrooms with queen beds in them.....a room with 4 bunks, a sofa sleeper, and a futon. There's a game room with a foosball table and darts. There's a fireplace indoors and a burning ring outdoors.....a dock and boatlift. She said there is a big screen tv and dvd player. Man I should've asked if the shops would be open by then LOL. It looks like there's no swimming pool but there is a sauna and spa. Should we post the info and see if anyone would be interested in this place?
Ok, I found another one right in Grand Marais...it says within walking distance to all the shops. It is www.eastbaysuites.com. I checked on the 3 bedroom which sleeps 8...it is available the same weekend and is $229 a night. I guess it depends on if we'd want the availability of the fireplace, firepit, foosball, darts etc..... but it'd be right in Grand Marais. Let me know what you think.
