depression
I love your kitty picture!! I got very scared before surgery - VERY scared as in crying on the way to the hospital on the day of surgery. I have a very strong faith, and that's what got me through. I got more depressed after surgery because I couldn't continue my love affair with food! I think everyone is different, though. Best wishes to you in this process!
I was really depressed before. I was thinking that how could I let myself get to the point that I had to have surgery. But I realized that I needed to take care of my body and that just maybe God was humbling me. I always try to do things on my own and that just doesnt work. I had to lean on Him and do what was right for my health.
Anyway, my point is that most of us probably were depressed so its normal. As long as you identify with it and make steps to remedy it, You will be fine!
I second what Missy said/went thru! The whole "how could I let myself get to this point". My best advice would be to see a therapist! I didn't and had troubles to the point where I didn't want to go on! DON'T let it get out of control! Besides, it always helps to talk to someone......make sure they are WLS knowledgeable. HUGS! and you are normal!

You are what you EAT and WHO you hang out with! Choices=Outcome~ what's YOUR choice??
I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
Another Kelli and another patient of Dr Drew's. He's great.
You will be on a rollercoaster of emotions in the next month or so. I agree with everything that others have said as well. You are doing just fine, and these feelings are normal.
I can say, without a doubt, that I am very glad I did what I did. I asked myself over and over again (before surgery) if it was the right decision. I'm here to tell you it is. The loser's bench is a great place to be.
Weather is also playing a role in it, too (my guess).
Feel free to contact me (or anyone on the board) if you needs words of encouragement. We are here to help you!
