Hi Folks, I need some help   I am going to buy a treadmill either tomorrow or Saturday and would like some recommendations on what and where to buy.  My price limit is $1000.

I really don't even know where to start, so...I thought I would start here, surely someone has bought one, or knows someone who has. Please help thanks!!!

I can't  remember the name of the place.....something like second wind......the commercial has a middle aged man talking.....does this help?   I loved them!  We bought a wonderful elliptical machine a few years ago.  It is fabulous!    The best thing is to go to a place where you can actually try many machines out so you can feel the difference!   Good Luck!

We looked online, we ended up buying a Nordic Trac 7000, but it was $1700.  What we found to be important was get one that is 60" long, the 55" seem too short. And the motor size is important, if you ever plan on running on it.  Ours also has built in programs to follow, which is neat, and has Ifit where you can buy new programs to follow. Kelly

We just got the Proform 540 Treadmill-  from Sports Authority, my dh researches everything before he buys. It was the  $499 model. cant run on it, but it has built in programs, heart rate monitor, folds up when not in use, etc. I use it everyday, and I love it!!! Good Luck!!

Hisweetie I got my treadmill about 5 years ago. I got mine at      ifit.com It's a Proform 995SEL. They were running an online special and I paid about $700 for it and NO shipping charges. They don't carry it anymore, but it has all the pre-programmed workouts, pulse monitor etc. I just checked their website and they have a bunch of treadmills at HUGE savings and with NO shipping. I bought a 2350 I think Nordic model at Sears during the holiday's.  It was $799.00.  I think they are now $699.00.  I use it all the time and it's quiet and I really love it. Jayne
