Breast Cancer 3-Day Anyone?

As some of you may know, I have walked in the BC3D twice since my surgery.  It is an experience that has changed me.  I am not walking this year, but I am working on the crew (yes, I can't wait to rise at 5 am for 3 days.)  I will be walking again in 2009 with my daughter who will finally be old enough (16) to participate. Anyhoo ... I am going to join a team that has formed through FM107.1.  It is called LOL's Ravishing Racks.  If you are interested, curious or wonder what the heck it's all about, please e-mail me at [email protected] and I am happy to talk to you.  If you do the 3-Day once, you will be hooked. Visit my 3-Day page at http://08.the3day.org/goto/jenniferarriola. Take care. J

Jenny,

When is the three day walk? I know I've heard it advertised, however I don't remember when it is!!!! I am seriously thinking about doing this.

I am not short... I am fun sized!!

This year it is in the Twin Cities September 19-21.  They always pick beautiful routes and the weather will be great. If you are even thinking about it, visit www.the3day.org and cruise through the website.  There are some videos to inspire you, FAQs that cover about everything.  I am happy to meet or talk with you some more. Take care, J

Hi-  I am interested in learning more about this walk.  I think it is an amazing cause.  I suck at walking though...but what better a way to start, right?  Anyway, I would be interested in joining a team, I think...  More details would be great.  Thanks!

1st goal-  Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight!

I walked in 2005, but tore my achilles tendon and had to leave late the first day.  I was so bummed, but proud of myself-at my weight (250) and made it a whole day.  I want to do it again, but not this year, am hoping to do it next year. Good luck to you, Debi

Hi! I am planning on walking again this year.  I walked in 2006, then took last year off because I was having some foot pain.  Still having foot pain, but hope to be able to train and do the walk this year.  It truly is a life changing experience.  The Twin Cities walk is Sept 19-21.  I will be walking with my mother-in-law again, who just recently lost her best friend to breast cancer.  It will be even more emotional for both of us this time around because of that.   I went for a long walk a few weeks ago and expected it to be much easier after losing so much weight, but I was surprised how much my hips hurt!  i think my body has to figure out how to function again at my new weight or something! I hope you have an awesome experience on crew! Krysta
