You are wonderful. I am grateful. (long)
Good morning, Cindy!
Thanks for a heart-felt posting. You sisters are awesome---what a terrific support system you have! And such beauties, to boot!
To have surgery with a lower BMI means that there are potentially life-threatening health conditions present. Why would this be a reason for discrimination on 'support' boards??? I can't figure it out...
Good luck and God bless. May your procedure go smoothly and without a hitch. (Make sure you have pain meds for the trip home!)
See ya on the losers' bench!!

That was a great post, Cindy. I hope and pray that all goes well with your surgery. And I think it's great that you are able to to do something about your weight at a lower BMI. I wish that option had been available to me before I got to the morbidly obese stage. Good for you for taking care of you! Jean B.

Cindy, you are certainly in my prayers - may God bring you through this surgery and give you a smooth, uncomplicated recovery! Your writing is very eloquent, and touched many people. Thank you for putting your thoughts out there for all of us to relate to.
As for the "lightweight" thing? Pish Posh! NOBODY would put themselves through this if they didn't feel it was their last best chance to get healthy! So whether you've got a 60 pound journey or a 300 pound journey is irrelevent. SHAME ON THOSE WHO JUDGE BASED ON NUMBERS!!! They aren't any better than people who judge those who deal with obesity.
God Bless -
