First,  I was at SuperTarget in Lino Lakes about a week ago,  the cashier, who I don't really know except I have seen several times there,  commented that she has noticed that I have lost alot of weight and asked how I did it.  I told her I had gastric bypass surgery almost a year ago.  She said that she is starting the process and is also going through Dr. Bakers office.  I told her my surgeon was Dr. Jeff and I thought he was wonderful.  She asked a few more questions and answered as best  I could.  I saw the same cashier yesterday and she asked if she could have my name and phone numbers and asked if she could call me with any questions,  I said absolutely and gave her the info.  She is currently waiting for her teaching appt. I had to call my regular Dr. today to get a referral for an MRI,  I woke Sunday morning and can't straighten my left knee.  I have had a couple of surgeries on this knee in years past for cartiledge removal.  Anyways,  the gal from the clinic called me to say I got the referral and she called with me on the line to schedule an appt.  We got that done and she asked me to stay on the line for a second,  she said she has been so impressed how well I have been doing with my weight loss and she said it has been fun to see me shrink and how good I look.  I thanked her and said that I'm so glad she told me, it is fun to hear comments from other people. On Saturday it will be a will be a year since I had surgery.  I can't believe it has been a year.  I have lost a total of about 134 lbs.  I have gone from a size 4X-5X to a size 18 and that is even getting a bit baggy.  I would like to lose about another 40 lbs.  I figure by then I will have lost about half of myself. (347lbs to 173.5 lbs.)LOL  I have my one year appt. with Dr. Baker on the 25th,  I will post the my progress then.

Jean, That is so neat. It's nice to hear compliments once in awhile. You are doing so good. Wow, what a difference! I can't wait to loose more, it's coming off slow.....

Good luck at your appointment, I had Dr. Jeff too. Kelly

Kelly, I just wanted to give you some encouragement.  There are times your weight will come off slow or not at all for a bit.  You will get discouraged.  Keep a couple of things in mind at times like these,  your body is going through alot of changes in a short amount of time, it is kind of a shock to the body. Be patient and keep with the plan and all of a sudden you will start losing again. I had a 2 month period during the fall where I didn't lose anymore than about 5 lbs. and then all of a sudden, I started losing again.  Another thing to do during this time is to get out the tape measure.  You may not be seeing weight loss on the scale but I bet you are losing inches.  Things are shifting.  Your body is adjusting.  Keep to the program and come here for support.  Chances are someone has gone through what you are going through.  Good luck!!  (Gotta love Dr. Jeff. LOL)
