The article was excellent. The commentary that followed it was just mind boggling! I couldn't read through it all, but those I did read were just hot & cold! I really wish that those who vehemently criticize WLS had to live a year as a MO person. To have to deal with all the things we dealt with - medical, emotional, physical, societal, yada yada yada.... See what their opinion is then.

Great article. I have wondered myself, if there is a point where WLS patients stop showing everyone thier before pictures, and talking about thier surgery, if we just eventually fade into the healthy group. I know myself and I've heard others say they want to remember where we've come from so as not to return there, but are there just as many who want to forget? What the womans mother said was very touching "be careful what you say about that girl... I loved her very much"
