Liquid diet - Day 3

I was very pleased when I weighed myself this morning that I was down another 2.4 pounds, so that is a total this week of 6.4 pounds so far. I am actually really super duper surprised at how easy it has been. I was preparing myself of the worst and it really has been going ok. Yes there are moments when I am very hungry, but I usually drink some water I am ok. Tonight is going to be tough though, it is my dad's birthday and my mom is making Tacos and enchiladas, but I told them I will come, but I won't eat, I brought my Shake to have while I am there. It feels so good to be doing ok with this liquid diet, I didn't think I would last a day let alone a couple, so I am pretty proud of myself. So I have 7 more pounds to lose by the 12th, I know I can do it!  Thank you all for your suggestions on what do drink during my liquid diet. I really appreciate all your support and encouragement!  Rose

You sure can do it!!!  Good for you!!  Bring your shake to the party, bring yourself a yummy sf jello and a sf popcicle!!!  I am pround of you!  I was on a stand still the last couple of days, but finally lost another couple lbs.  I think our bodies think they are starving and just fight us, but then give up for a bit and we loose some more......congrats!

WTG! You are doing great! I did the same thing when I went to see my sister and her faimly, I brought my shake and drank while they ate. It  was a little difficult, but just keep thinking of the end result! I've been doing it for just over 2 weeks, and it is really natural now! Good luck.

I do think the fact that I have been doing Sim Fast (breakfast and lunch) for the past month has really made a difference as to how easy this week as been so far. I know for sure if I would have just had to go on a liquid diet from eating normally, I would probably be pulling my hair out by now!

Great job so far Rose!! I've heard it said that how well you do on your LD will be a reflection of how well you do post op. Hang in there just a few more days!!! PS>>> a tip for tonight??? to have something similar to the enchiladas and tacos. pick up a can of campels gumbo soup. heat and strain. it's sooo flavorful and the smell should be similar to the wonderful smells going on in the kitchen. you might get through it easier if your dinner smells similar to thier dinner instead ofa shake. just a thought?

That is a great idea. I am heading to the store after work and I will look for that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great job Rose. The soup idea for tonight was a good one. You'll be happier with that. Good luck tonight, Kelly
