Update on my daughter Laurie

Well, it is a definite lung infection,whether it is pnuemonia for sure we have not heard. On IV antibiotics, and they are giving her TPN and Lipids. Her weight is way too far down. Probably be in the hospital til at least Monday.  Princess Nemi is bouncing along, does not quite understand why mommy not at home. She gets to go up and spend time with Laurie and see Auntie Barb next door.

Nothing like a visit from a precious lil' peanut to make a body feel better!!!  Glad Laurie is where she needs to be to get better.

Karen, glad to hear things are getting treated to correct the lung infection for Laurie.  Sending warm hugs so that you can get outof the hospital by monday. Troy

Thanks for the update!  Glad they're narrowing down what is going on. Hope she gets home on Monday and is on her way to good health!

This is Laurie again.............. Thank you all for the thoughts and wishes n hugs...... I am keeping Princess Nemi up here with me tonight (Jay will be up in a few hours, as they wont let me have her alone. stupid rules) its definitaly different without her, she is the light of my life and keeps me on my toes every second of the day. I just hope that she sleeps tonight,,, ughhhhh....... We are working on that if i need to stay for the weekend i can get out on Fri on pass so that i can go 2 class at Dunwoody. My finals are next week and then ill have made it  threw 1st quarter will all 3 A's. So im keepin my fingers crossed The biggest thing they are worried about is the nausea and vomiting and that im not gaining any weight otherwise id go home on thurs with iv antibiotics. So well see what the next few days bring, So far today ive kept everything down and not felt nauseaous. so who knows... my body is so damn strange.. lots of love Laurie, Nemi and Karen

I have to agree with Darla...Nothing like the innocence of a child to brighten your day.  I hope that Laurie rest better tonight with her there.  Won't be long until you are outta there...enjoy some down time from your little "monster" as everyone calls her, I imagine she is a doll!!
