2 of my favorite people at the U of MN

Monday afternoon went to U of MN to put Laurie in the hospital, another pesky lung infection.  Laurie is in room 29 on 7B. She should be in about a week, or so the plan is. I have the little monster Nemi. I literally almost ran into Barb J. Barb is in room 30 of 7B. Her insision is not healing right and they are doing surgery as I type to take out the mesh and see if that will help. She seemed in great spirits and is looking forward to this. She has been in the hospital since Thursday. Laurie or I will post later on how Barb is doing. I have a darn cold, so I am not going anywhere near either of them.

HOLY CRAP! Tell Barb J to get over herself and stop being sick!   Give her big hugs (from afar - don't get her sick) or just shout from the hallway that I said hi and was thinking of her. Poor Laurie - I hope she's doing better. Why does she have to be in the hospital for a whole week?  Hi from Florida! Farrah

Hi Farrah, Want a 16 month old to tie a pork chop bone so your puppy will play with her?????? Man what a handful she can be... Will have Laurie give her your hugs.  They need about a week to get the antibiotic ****tail right. They usually give her 2 or 3 antibiotics for 3 or 4 weeks. Gotta get the dosages right. She has a port in her tummy and does IV meds at home. Send us some warm weather!!!!!!!!!!! Your pic looks fantastic, Karen

Poor Laurie, I hope she is getting better. Is this due to the cystic fibrosis?  She was so thin at coffee several weeks ago, but still in good spirits.   Nemi will keep you busy, LOL  Sending a big hug to all 3 of you!! Thanks for posting about Barb.  Let's hope this finally puts an end to the troubles she has had with her revision.   Time for her to get back to full time being Barb!!!

Yeah, CF ugly head again. As long as she gets the meds started and sticks with  her schedule she will bounce back pretty quick. She sis in school 3 classes at Dunwoody plus with Nemi at 16 months, and taking care of her meds, she has 3 full time jobs. Hooray, Nemi down for a nap, peace n quiet for an hour. Karen

I'm so glad someone posted an update about Barb!  Thank you!  It's been a long time since I've talked to her or heard any knews on how she is doing. If you see her again, please give her my love!  Do you know when her surgery is?  Please update if you have any knews. Sorry to hear about Laurie...she sure has been through a lot.  My prayers to both Laurie and Barb!

Barb went down to surgery about 11:30 I think. Laurie will let me know as soon as she hears her come back up. I will post as soon as I know. Thanks for the good thoughts about both, they are 2 tough cookies and will be better soon. Karen
