Great Pizza
I was hungry for pizza today so I made some using Market Pantry Italian Herb Flatbread from Target. I can't believe how good it was. My husband loved it too. Not sure that is good or bad.
Flatbread Pizza
1 Italian Flatbread (brown on a cookie sheet with a litlle olive oil)
Pizza Sauce ( I used Green Mill brand)
ground beef (browned)
bacon crumbled ( I use the Hormel already cooked in the bag)
green olives sliced
pepperoni (low fat)
2% shredded cheddar cheese
2% shredded moz cheese
Take the flatbread and put it on a cookie sheet with a litlle olive oil and put it in a 425 degree oven until it's crispy on the bottom. Flip it over and add the sauce and ingredients you want on your pizza. Return to the oven for about 20 minutes in a 400 degree oven until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.
The flatbread has 90 calories, 2.5 g fat, 15 g carbs but has 9 g fiber, 0 g sugar & 9g protein so you will have a very high protein lo carb meal.
I also made another one with alfredo and chicken and satueed baby bellas and onions and added them along with provolone cheese mixed with 2% moz cheese. That one was good but I liked the other better but I'm a tomato gal.
This surgery has been so good for me. I thought my love of cooking would be gone with most of my tummy but I am finding good food is still available it's just healthy. Every weekend I try to make something new for me using one of my old high calorie favorites. Had my first cole slaw this weekend and it was to die for. I found some angel hair shredded cabbage so it was much easier to chew. Life is good!
