new to MN OH message board
Hi my name is Nancee I had wls 2/5/08 lap band. I go to sunday coffee at northtown starbucks( ie, 6:30 pm this sunday 2/24 ) I had my band done at Unity and go to there suppot group meetings and have been using there message board. Several persons on that board have made references to this site so I thought I'd give It a read. So far I like it and just thought I'd let folks know who I am in case they see a reply from me..
.. I'm 51 ( and proud of it.) I live in Brooklyn Center. I work the night shift and have been doing that for the past 29 years.( so if you see post from me at odd hour .. I'm not having trouble sleeping I'm normally up all night.) I've been over weight all my life and after turning fifty I new if I wanted to to sixty and beyound I need to make some life style changes ... So here I am pre-and post band I"ve lost 64#. My surgery was just three weeks ago and I'm on pureed food still. But no complaints . My surgery went really well. No pain post op, up and about right away. getting in all my protein and fluids with no trouble. lossing weight and haveing a nice brake from work. I've gotten great support from friends and family and others on the message boards and at support groups. I feel truly blessed for it's all going so well. Hope all is well with any and all *****ad this have a great day. ( I'm not a great typist or speller and I've not got the hang of the all computer stuff down so I well make a lot of screwups , but I have fun doing them...! ) Have a good one Nancee 
I'm pretty new as well, so you're not alone. This is an amazing site. I love reading it every day. I am getting banded on March 8 in Mexico and I love hearing positive reports about post-op. Thanks so much for sharing!

Sounds like the band is certainly working for you....that is awesome. Congrats on the terrific weight loss so far.
We have all been blessed with a second chance for good health and happiness. It doesn't get any better then this!!

WELCOME to what I like to call your new "happy place"!!! And CONGRATULATIONS on your surgery, on doing so well, and being smart enough to seek out support and friendship - you'll find GOBS of that here! Too bad you didn't post a day or two sooner, you could have joined us at the Maple Grove coffee get together this morning! Oh well, keep March 8th open at 9am - we meet at the Caribou in Byerly's. GOOD TIME!!!

I think I've posted to you on the Unity board, glad to see you on here. This is such a great bunch of people, they've made me feel very comfortable and welcome. There's so much helpful info on here. I warn you it get's addicting............I love it. This is the support I was looking for. WELCOME.....
