Hello everyone!  In order to have a clear understanding of who's going to be at Larsmont Cottages, and when, I believe it's in all our best interests for everyone  to please post so everyone involved knows what's the plan.  Please communicate your plans for the following (and please add/any comments and/or suggestions--afterall, it's everyone's fun weekend!:

1) Will you (post number of people with you) be there Friday night, Saturday night, or both?

2) Not to focus on food, but for planning purposes:  what can you eat? How many people would like milk?  Skim or 1%?  Who drinks coffee, regular/decaf, and what additives?  Could someone bring coffee and whatever would go with it? (I'm not a coffee person, but am bringing plenty of tea and Splenda to share.)

3) I'm bringing boneless skinless chicken breasts to contribute to Laurie's nummy shish kabobs, although certainly can contribute more of anything else as well.  (Just gotta juse the outdoor grill in the winter!) We really need  to know how much to prepare.  My two cents is that we have the shish kabobs for brunch/lunch Saturday, as we'll be going to dinner later, most likely eating around eight p.m. Sat. night.

4) Who can bring what for the so-far known meals?  Friday dinner will be Bean and Ham soup and Chicken Lime soup. Need to know how many people coming to Cottage #105 (I believe that's the number--I'll have my cell phone 612-408-7350 just in case anyone cannot hear us! laughing our a**ses off! Everyone in the area, or staying at the resort is welcome, although please bring something, be it crackers, chips, fresh fruit, fresh vegetable.  Please post so we can keep track of how many people, how much edibles, etc. We want to have just enough edibles, but not tons left over.

5) Sat./Sun. breakfast  quick and simple:  egg bake, eggs/omelettes, leftover fruit, fruit juices, yogurt, cottage cheese.  (I personally like Yoplait Lite with fat-free cottage cheese).  Speak up and let us all know your preferences, that way we should have a broad variety so everyone will be able to come to our 'castle cottage' and enjoy delicious nutritous meals!

6)  Who's coming to Black Woods Grill Saturday evening? We'll want to make reservations once I get a head count.  Michelle and Kathleen (colderbythelake) will be meeting us.  Kathleen works until 7:30, and I presume 7 p.m. reservations would be ideal, huh?

I'm just putting together a skeleton plan.  By all means, I'm not 'in charge', just organizing what information I'm able to gather!   Your honest ideas, suggestions, and comments are greatly appreciated-  this is all for the immense FUN for each and every one of us throughout the weekend!

Reminder:  Bring swimsuit for indoor pool and/or outside four-season huge hot tub.  Weather is now predicted to be in the 30s or low 40s in the cities, so hopefully it will be at least 15 or 20 up there off the lake!

We'll be watching movies in the 'castle cottage' Friday night, so list what you have to bring for that.  We do have a 32" TV with DVD player.  I could bring 'The Wedding Crashers', 'Wild Hogs', About Schmidt', 'Catch Me If You Can',  'Walk the Line', Forrest Gump', 'Ocean's Eleven', 'Ocean's Twelve', just to name a few. Can't wait to see/meet everyone next weekend!  Hugs galore, Patti

i am coming for both nights..however Missy is only staying Friday night. I would like to be able to ride up with her Friday night, so if there is anyone that has room for an extra person Sunday on the way abck and could drop me off in Cloquet I would really appreciate it. Otherwise I will drive seperatly. (If you want even as were passing the cloquet cut-off we can jsut open the door and I can jump out and someone can throw my stuff out then you dont have to get off the freeway) .  I will bring coffee for the coffee drinkers...Is there anyone that likes the flavored cream and if so let me know. I will also get some crackers for the yummy soup were going to have.  Brea

Whew!  I had to copy and paste your post just so I can answer all the ?s! 1--I am coming alone and will be there all weekend! 2--I use 'coffee mate light' for my coffee--and my son, whose boss and mentor owns a local coffee shop, is donating coffee for us.  So I'll bring coffee and whitener.  I'll also bring my own supply of bottled water. 3--I can't bring fresh fruit across the border, so the ham/bean soup is gonna be it for me.  I'll dump the soup into a different pot so Lori P can have the crockpot for her Chicken Lime soup. 4--ALTHOUGH--for movie munchies, I could bring a tub of hummus for dipping carrots and celery, and toasted pita. It's high protein!  5--Maybe a $ fund is a good way to go?  Duluth is sooo close, as is 2  Harbours, that maybe a 'committee' could do the grocery shopping for the weekend?  Or am I opening another can of worms?  YUMMMMM--can of worms!!   ((HAHA!)  Or do folks just want to bring their own, plus for sharing?  Or should I just shut up??!  I am thinking of the doz. eggs needed for the casserole, and the ham or bacon, the bread, the cheese... 6--Put me down as going to the BW Grill!  The night before my WLS my sister and I went there. She really enjoyed her meal, and I must say the water was...wet.  (I will think twice about lemon in my water,,,) Yup--this is an indication of how my mind works!

Hey Sweet Sue, /we won't have to worry about the lemons at Black Woods.  Now Taco Hell, or any unscrupulous restaurant would be a problem!  Or is my brain fermented from many previous lemon slices in my water when dining out?!  Anyway, I've got to start replying to the posts here, and have to get up at six a.m. for work, so will have more time to put into this planning/organizing tomorrow night and Monday.  I do think a 'grocery shopping team' is good.  Actually, if there was room, I'd pick stuff up at Sam's Club and Cub...I LOVE grocery shopping, cooking, organinzing, and shee****hink I'll book a trip for a week in Jamaica the first week of March....really sad none of my many friends can afford to join me when I get these wild hairs up my wazoo.....Gotta go here;  more later!  Ooooooh, they're predicting upper 30s/low 40s in the cities next weekend, so then it should be at least fifteen above up off the Big Lake! Hugs, Patti

HI! 1) I will be there both nights 2) I will bring shrimp and some chicken breasts, plus the peppers, onions, potatoes and tomatoes plus the marinade for the kabobs for Saturday.  I do drink coffee, usually decaf, but also some regular stuff.  I am going to be bringing my sugar-free creamer stuff.  I will also be bringing some bottled water.  No milk or dairy products for me, unfortunately.  I will also be bringing some beef jerky with for snacking on.

3)  I will be at the Black Woods Grill on Saturday evening!  Do we have a VCR or only a DVD player?  I have a ton of videos, but not so many DVDs.  I can bring DVDs of: Mona Lisa Smile, Shall We Dance?, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya- Sisterhood, Under the Tuscan Sun, Pirates of the Caribbean; the Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates...2; Dead Man's Chest, Princess Diaries & Princess Diaries 2.   I just went and tried on my "old" swimsuit - that doesn't fit anymore either so I guess I have to go to WalMart and find a new one for this summer...how fun is that!

I can't wait - this is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see/meet all of you.

HI Laurie~ How cool is that, having to buy a new swim suit 'cu the old one doesn't fit!! If you want to see where we'll be staying go to www.larsmontcottage.com and take the virtual tour!  The 3 bedroom cabin has a 32" TV w/DVD/VCR/satellite connection. So bring your tapes or DVDs--just keep in mind that there are other things to do---hot tub, exercise room, shore line to explore, etc. etc. See ya next week! ((HUG)) **SUE**

What counts as the Century Club - is it from your highest weight or from your surgery date?   I weighed myself this morning and I am now down 104 lbs from my highest weight, but only 90 from my surgery date weight....so does that mean I hit the century club or not?
