A few of my first Wow moments

Its been just over a month since I had started the liquid diet and a litle over 3 weeks since surgery and I'm down 40 lbs as of today!   I was trying to grasp how much weight this is so my husband told me to pick up 2 of our 3 cats.  One of our cats weighs 30 lbs (he's not fat he's just a very large breed of cat...ok maybe I'm in a little bit of denial...he's chunky) and the other is 10 lbs.  I could barely lift both of them so it was shocking to see how much weight that is.     My other Wow moments are: my wedding ring is easy to take off and another ring I wear almost falls off my finger.  I use to have to put a ton of lotion on my hands or wait until they were really cold to get my rings off.   I can go to the grocery store and not even break a sweat now too!!!   I also have gone down a size in clothes so I'm in 24's now.

Those are awesome WOW moments, Kathy!!!   I use the 40# bags of dogfood to give myself a reality check!  So next time you're in the pet food aisle, grab onto one of those bad boys!  I sure as he** can't lift THREE of 'em at one time!!! And have you measured yourself?  One of the most eye-opening things for me was at my 6 month appointment, when Princess Barb of PNC told me I was down 12 inches.  I couldn't visualize what that meant, so she put the measuring tape around me again, and then let it out 12 inches.

Make sure you keep a pair of your biggest pants and one of your biggest shirts.. your favorites that you always wore... I discovered last weekend that I can fit into one leg of my favorite denim capri's from last summer. last summer they are pretty snug. It's always a good kick in the pants to pull out that old outfit and seeing just how far you've REALLY come. especially when you suffer from "fateye syndrome"
